Even More Games Added to Xbox Game Pass December Lineup

Xbox Game Pass 2018 december

December has become one of the best months ever to be an Xbox Game Pass Member.

When Microsoft added three new games to the Game Pass catalog earlier this month, they also let us know that there would be more games to come throughout the rest of December. Sure enough, last night during the Game Awards ceremony, two new games were added to the ever-expanding Game Pass catalog. And then, 12 hours later, four more games were announced. All of these new games (and all the other titles in the catalog) are free to play as long as you’re an Xbox Game Pass subscriber.

Mortal Kombat X

Available NOW

Prepare for the next generation of this ultimate fighting game franchise. The characters, the presentation, and the attack/moves have all benefited from 25 years worth of virtual combat perfection. If you’re new to Mortal Kombat, this is a perfect entry to the series, and a great way to get started before Mortal Kombat XI launches. (It was just announced at the Game Awards!)

Ashen

Available NOW

This open-world action RPG is focused on cooperative online play. As you adventure through the mysterious realm you call home, you’ll encounter other players who are doing the same. What you do next is up to you. Do you team up, and fight against evil together? Do you invite them to your group to trade, talk, or just hang out? Or do you simply ignore them? There is no PvP element in Ashen; the game is all about working together or working alone.

Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) 19

Available December 13th

It’s no mystery that PES is the underdog of football video games. Its bigger brother FIFA is the more popular game year after year. But it’s also no mystery that PES brings a football experience that captures the pure artistry of the game. The ball feels responsive and real as it moves across the pitch, passes are smooth and natural, and in general every PES game does an amazing job of making this video game version of football feel real.

Spintires: Mudrunner

Available December 13th

In this off-roading simulation experience, you’ll drive extreme vehicles over equally as extreme terrain. In Spintires: Mudruner the incredible physics system and amazing environments are what make roaming in ATVs across giant sandbox maps so much fun! Go solo and put your compass, map, and winch skills to the test, or team up in co-op multiplayer with up to 3 others!

Below

Available December 14th

Below is a completely unique game– literally. It’s a terrarium of life and death that procedurally generated, meaning that the game’s levels are continually created anew. In Below you explore a massive and interconnected subterranean world that’s filled traps, wildlife, and an evil presence that surrounds it all. Your mission, if you’re brave enough, is to discover what lies “below”.

Shadow Warrior 2

Available December 20th

The first Shadow Warrior title appeared on Xbox Game Pass in September, and now its sequel has arrived. If you’re in the mood even more over-the-top gunplay and katana slicing, look no further than Shadow Warrior 2. This game brings even more blood, guts, and bullets that the first game in the series. If you want to blast your way through an enjoyable arcade shooter then give this game a try.
