As Halloween draws near, the spookiness level in Fortnite increases. This week also marks the halfway point of Season 6, which is hard to believe. The clock is ticking on leveling up your Battle Pass. We’re doing all we can to get to that epic Dire Werewolf skin! And, don’t forget that completing all of these challenges will unlock a hidden loading screen, and that loading screen is your ticket to unlocking an entire Battle Pass tier! Don’t Have a Battle Pass? OK, let’s cover that first.
If you’re looking for the Fortnitemares challenges, you can find them here.
Battle Pass / V-Bucks
If you want to complete all of the challenges this week, or more than half of all the challenges this Fortnite Season, then you need a Battle Pass. You can level up your Battle Pass each week, just by playing the game, and unlock tons of awesome loot (like the skin we mentioned above).
For a discounted way to to get V-bucks (or anything in the Fortnite Store) check out the Top-Ups section of your webstore. Buy PSN or Microsoft gift cards for cheaper, and use them to buy all the V-Bucks you want. Check out the blog post here for step by step instructions: How to Get Discounted V-Bucks for Fortnite.
Fortnite Season 6, Week 5 Challenges
There are basically two categories of challenges this week: 1. Challenges where you search the map and jump through hoops (literally); or 2. Challenges where you deal damage/eliminate opponents. Not as creative or spooky as the Fortnitemares challenges, but just a fun!
Free Challenges
- Record a speed of 27 or more on different Radar Signs (0/5) = 5 Battle Stars
- Jump through flaming hoops with a Shopping Cart or ATK (0/5) = 5 Battle Stars
- Stage 1: Deal damage with Tactical Shotguns to opponents (0/200) [HARD] = 3 Battle Stars
Battle Pass Challenges
- Eliminate an opponent closer than 5m away (0/1) = 5 Battle Stars
- Deal damage with SMGs to opponents (0/500) = 5 Battle Stars
- Minigun Eliminations (0/2) [HARD] = 10 Battle Stars
- Stage 1/3: Deal damage with standard Pistols to opponents (0/200) [HARD] = 3 Battle Stars
Record a Speed of 27 or More
If you haven’t tried it out yet, now is your chance to jump behind the wheel of the new ATV added to the game last week: the Quadcrasher! Once you find a vehicle, head to one of the Radar Signs, gather some speed (don’t forget to use your boosters in the Quadcrasher!), and try to hit 27 MPH or more. On the map below you can find some of the Radar Sign locations:
Jump Through Flaming Hoops
Now this is a fun challenge! Despite telling you to use a Shopping Cart or ATK in its title, you can also complete this challenge with a Quadcrasher; so try to hang on to the one you completed the speed record challenge with. Just like last season there are now flaming hoops all over the map, along with conveniently placed ramps. You can find most of the hoop locations in the map below:
Elimination / Damage Challenges
All of the elimination and damage dealing challenges are a lot easier this week thanks to the limited time Disco Domination mode. So instead of breaking the instructions down challenge-by-challenge here’s one piece of advice to complete them all of the remaining challenges really easily: grab some guns, and hit the dance floor!
In Disco Domination, as you probably know, you don’t have to start a new match when you die– you simply respawn and keep on dancing the night away. To complete the damage and elimination challenges above, you should simply gather the specific weapons you need, deal some damage, die, then repeat! You’ll be leveling up your Battle Pass before you know it!
