2023 Game Of The Year Contender
The reviews are in, and the critics finally agree for once– Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is without a doubt a contender for one of the best games of 2023.
Picking up where its predecessor left off, “Jedi: Survivor isn’t just more of the same but more of virtually everything,” Game Informer raves. VGC described Survivor as “Star Wars at its very best” in their 5/5 review; and IGN calls the game “a Force to be recocked with” (har har). Here’s more of what IGN had to say in their stellar assessment:
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor takes what Fallen Order achieved and wall-runs with it, then double-jumps and air-dashes straight into an epic lightsaber battle. If Respawn makes one more like this it’ll complete the best Star Wars trilogy in 30 years, hands down.
Here’s a round-up of just some of the reviews:
- 5/5 – VGC
- 9.5 – PSU
- 9.5 – GamingTrend
- 9.25 – Game Informer
- 9 – IGN
- 9 – GamesRadar
- 8 – PC Gamer
Does Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Have Multiplayer?
Survivor is a strictly single-player experience. There is no online or local multiplayer gameplay supported. Developer Respawn Entertainment describes the game as a narratively-driven, single-player title on the official page, so it seems unlikely that multiplayer will be added at a later date.
Is Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Open World?
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is not entirely open world, but many of the new planets (and familiar locales for Star Wars fans) will be “vast open worlds that sprawl out in every direction, with interesting encounters and rewards everywhere you turn,” according to IGN.
In fact, the accessible portions of the vast Star Wars universe have been greatly expanded this time around; and each location features unique biomes, enemies, and challenges. Plus, you can master new skills, abilities, and equipment that will directly affect the way you explore (and fight) in each new location you find.
