As 2020 draws to a close, the picks are now in for the best games and game makers of the year. Founder and host Geoff Keighley announced the nominations for The Game Awards via livestream on Tuesday, recognizing the highest tier of creative and technical excellence that the gaming community had to offer in 2020.
The Game Awards represent the opinions of “a diverse group of game developers, game players, and notable names from popular culture”; and while there are many important gaming award ceremonies, The Game Awards are arguable the biggest deal.
