Night City is overflowing with mysteries to unlock, and there is a bit of a learning curve for new players. These 5 valuable tips will help you get the most of your Cyberpunk 2077 experience right from the beginning— and save you the time of figuring them out for yourself.

One Man’s Junk Is Your Cash or Components
Pick. Up. Everything.
The hyper-detailed world of Cybperbunk 2077 is full of a variety of little items that add to its immersive atmosphere. But if you pick up that ashtray, that deck of cards, those cheese knives (yes there are really cheese knives lying around) you can break them down into useful components or turn them into money at any merchant you happen upon. And if there’s one thing that Cuberpunk 2077 does make abundantly clear, it’s that cash makes the world go ‘round. It’s all about the “eddies” in Night City— the more the better.
Be the Character You Want See in The World
If you’re an RPG fan, then you probably have a character type that you usually lean towards. Or, If you’re like us, then you’ve had an exact character build planned out specifically for Cyberpunk 2077. But simply choosing what you spend your perks and attribute points on isn’t the only thing that goes into sculpting your character in this game.
The things you actually do in Cyberpunk… stealth takedowns, hacking sprees, shotgun rampages, etc… those are the things that level up your individual skills in the game. So meticulously plan how you’ll spend your stat-building points when you level up, but also just… play the game the way you want to to create your ideal character. Crazy idea, right?
Don’t Miss Your Bonus Stash
In Cyberpunk 2077, you can carry extra items by cybernetically enhancing your body, by investing in a certain character perk, or the old-fashioned way— by putting them in the trunk of your car! If your vehicle has a trunk, and it’s a vehicle you actually own, it can become a mobile stash box for all the wondrous things you find around Night City. You can even access the items stashed in your car from your character’s apartment too.
Get Lots of Checkups
The first Ripperdoc (Night City’s cybernetic surgeons) you meet is a real… life saver… but he’s far from the only one available to you right from the beginning of the game. You should visit as many Ripperdocs as possible in Cybperunk 2077, as each one offers different upgrades for different parts of your body. Many of the juiciest enhancements will be out of reach at first, but it’s helpful to explore what exactly the future of medicide holds.
And speaking of useful upgrades, sure, buying investing in those that increase your armor and damage are great— but don’t overlook the value of fortifying your… ankles! Yep, the leg enhancements available from Cyberpunk 2077’s Ripperdocs allow you to reach previously inaccessible portions of the map, race across town, and even give you a unique tactical edge in combat.
Mod Everything You Can
As you explore Night City, you’ll happen upon valuable and powerful “mods” right from the beginning. Like most games, these mods can be applied to certain weapons, but in Cyberpunk 2077 you can use these mods with cyberware (cybernetic enhancements for your body), armor, and even clothing! Just keep in mind that you won’t be able to remove a mod once it’s been assigned to an item; so save your best ones for your best gear.
