Atomic Heart - Official GeForce RTX Gameplay Reveal Trailer - IGN

February 2023 is heating up! (At least the release schedule is).

Games we’ve been eagerly anticipating for years are finally set to drop this month… and there’s definitely at least one Game of the Year contender amongst them. In addition to the previously PlayStation-exclusive Returnal coming to PC, here are the top 5 new games dropping in February.

If you’re looking for something specific, you can find deals on all the biggest new games of 2023 in our Coming Soon section.

Hogwarts Legacy

10th February – PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch

Hogwarts Legacy is basically the Harry Potter game that everyone has always wanted since they started making Harry Potter games. It’s an open-world RPG set in the universe introduced in the books, but back in the 1800s. Customize your character however you want, brew whatever potions you want, learn whatever spells you want, and go wherever pleases you in this all-new wizarding adventure. Just remember to choose your allies wisely… your legacy is what you make of it.

Atomic Heart

21st February – PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S

We’ve been waiting for Atomic Heart for years now, and for a good amount of time, it looked like it was never actually going to come out. Now, finally, the wait is over; and it lives to be seen whether rookie developer Mundfish’s work will live up to the hype. If all the recent gameplay footage is any indicator though, it appears as if it certainly will.

Step into a utopian world where humans live in harmony with intelligent robots… at least for a little while:

With the launch of the latest robot-control system mere days away, only a tragic accident or a global conspiracy could disrupt it…

The unstoppable course of technology along with secret experiments have brought rise to mutant creatures, terrifying machines and superpowered robots—all suddenly rebelling against their creators. Only you can stop them and find out what lies behind the idealized world.

Atomic Heart is a first-person shooter that breaks away from boring genre tropes to create a game entirely unpredictable. We’re calling this one as a definite Game of the Year contender.

Destiny II: Lightfall

28th February – PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S

The end of all things approaches.

While it’s technically not an entirely new game, this expansion alone contains enough content to easily match a full release. Destiny 2: Lightfall introduces tons of new world activities, new exotics, a new raid, and new story content; all taking place in an all-new location. Developer Bungie’s description of what’s to come in Lightfall is mystifying, compelling, and deeply foreboding…

Begin a journey that will reveal the hidden threads that bind us, the ability to unravel them, and the mastery to weave them anew. With this new power in hand, find strength in your fellow Guardians and triumph in the face of annihilation.

If you’re new to Destiny 2, Lightfall is all you need to play the game and all its latest content. However, if you want more, you can pick up the previous expansions for the full Destiny 2 experience. This will get you access to more story gameplay, more multiplayer content, and many, many more awesome “Exotic” weapons.

Blood Bowl 3

23rd February – PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch

Another 2022 release that got delayed, Blood Bowl 3 is one of the most anticipated (and certainly most unique) strategy games of the year. If you like fantasy football (the American variety), then you’ll love Blood Bowl 3; because… well, because it’s literally that. The fantasy Warhammer universe has been infused with the rules of Football (very loosely interpreted) to create the ultimate death sport. And never fear, all the gameplay is grounded in the official rules of the latest edition of the board game.

Octopath Traveler II

24th February – PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch

Octopath Traveler II is the follow-up to the beloved Nintendo Switch title that sold millions of copies and captured the hearts of JRPG fans when it released in 2018. Now you’ll embark on an all-new adventure as one of eight travelers– each with their own skills, motivations, and origins. Each traveler also has a unique set of “Path Actions” that will ultimately determine where your character will go, what they’ll do, and how their journey will end.

Octopath Traveller II is worth checking out if you’re at all into good RPGs; the story, characters, and turn-based action are not something you’d want to miss.
