The challenges in Fortnite Battle Royale’s Season 6 have been a mixed bag of difficulty.
Week 1 of Season 6 brought us those tricky triple-staged challenges, Week 2 had some incredibly easy freebies, and then Week 3 arrived with two frustratingly hard tasks: the dreaded trap elimination challenge, and time trials. You don’t want to know how much time we spent waiting for that one unlucky soul to walk though that one specific doorway. And those time trials, they took even longer to complete– so we thought we should put together a guide!
Below we have a guide on where to find those dastardly time trials from week 3 and how to complete them. If you’re a pro and you’ve already completed that challenge, we also have all the info on the huge patch that just released, as well as the leaked challenges for Week 4!
Battle Pass / V-Bucks
First things first. If you want to complete the time trial challenge, or more than half of all the challenges this Fortnite Season, then you need a Battle Pass. You’re also going to need a Battle Pass if you want to unlock that sweet Tier 100 Dire Werewolf skin that slowly evolves into a werewolf as you level up!
For a discounted way to to get V-bucks (or anything in the Fortnite Store) check out the Top-Ups section of your webstore. Buy PSN or Microsoft gift cards for cheaper, and use them to buy all the V-Bucks you want. Check out the blog post here for step by step instructions: How to Get Discounted V-Bucks for Fortnite.
Those Tricky Time Trials
If you’re like most people, you’re probably having a hard time finding those semi-transparent stopwatches scattered across the map; and you also might be having a hard time completing the tricky mini-Olympics they make you go through to ear your Battle Stars.
Let’s start with where they are. These are the time trials we’ve found so far. If you come across any others let us know.
The stopwatch icons are a little hard to spot in-game, so make sure you look carefully in the marked areas. Once you’re able to find a time trial location, simply interact with it and then your trial will begin. To get a head start on the challenge we recommend you start the trial, check out the path you’ll have to race through, and then build everything you need to get it done. Then, activate the timer again and sprint through the path you’ve built!
Here’s a quick video that shows 3 of the easiest time trials on map and how to complete them– remember, you only have to complete 3 out of 5 of them:
Huge Update v6.10
Another Fortnite weekly patch has just gone live, and it’s a big one. Here are the biggest changes coming your way:
Quadcrashers
Two seats means double the fun with the new Fortnite ATV at your disposal. By driving it you’ll build up a burst of speed (like nitrous boosters) which you can unleash whenever you choose. And that plow on the front isn’t just for looks, it’s for crashing into buildings and structures of course!
Fortnite Competition
In-game tournaments are about to begin! There is a new tournament tab on the main menu now, allowing the masses to compete in scheduled tournaments just like the pros. This week will basically be a practice run to see how it goes, but this is finally the chance to see if your skills are really as good as you say. Hopefully you’ll soon be able to earn V-Bucks through these tournaments.
LTM: Disco Domination
It’s time to get your boogie on, because Disco Domination is back. It’s had some changes made to it too; like 50% less bandage spawns, and common weapons are gone. Let us know in the comments if you think this mode is better now.
Other Changes
There are a lot of little tweaks to building, weapons, and items this week (you can find the full list here), but what really caught our eye was:
- The Port-a-Fortress has been disabled as we work to resolve some issues related to this item.
- You can now set building mode sensitivity for controllers in the options menu. It is a multiplier on the default controller sensitivity and allows up to a 2x increase.
- Added an option that allows for edit hold timing to be adjusted.
Leaked Week 4 Challenges
It has been a lot more difficult for data-miners to accurately and completely leak the weekly challenges ahead of time this season. In the past few weeks of Season 6 there have been significantly more errors in the leaked information; so keep that in mind when reading these challenges. When the challenges are officially released we’ll post the confirmed list on our blog– so make sure you check back for that.

- Search an Ammo Box in different named locations (0/7)
