FC IQ Is a Game-Changer

The biggest, most noticeable gameplay changes in FC 25 come from an update known as FC IQ. This new tactical feature is designed to provide players with greater control over their team’s behavior on the pitch. It works by utilizing AI, real-world football data from Opta Sports, and player inputs to create more realistic tactical customization. FC IQ introduces a fully revamped tactics system, offering more flexibility and control. Over 50 new player roles have been added, based on real-life match data, allowing for deeper off-the-ball instructions.

Smarter Tactics

FC IQ completely changes (and improves) the tactics system in FC 25.

Now you can create up to five custom tactics in FC 25 and switch between them during matches. These tactics can also be shared with other players online using unique cross-platform codes. If you prefer simpler options, preset tactics are also available, modeled after famous styles like Klopp’s gegenpress and Guardiola’s tiki-taka.

Hello Rush, Goodbye Volta

Volta is out, and Rush Mode is in. Rush Mode is a fresh 5v5 format, playable across all major modes, including Kick Off, Ultimate Team, Clubs, and Career Mode. Expect a fast-paced, arcade-style mode designed for quick matches.

There are unique rules to Rush Mode as well– no offsides, no fouls, and smaller pitch sizes, creating an emphasis on high-intensity attacking football. The mode encourages creative play, and players can enjoy simplified team-building mechanics along with dynamic, event-driven gameplay. It’s a more casual and fun alternative to traditional football modes, offering a fresh experience within the EA Sports FC 25 universe.

Foul Like A Pro

A new professional foul button lets players perform tactical fouls; allowing you another way to stop a promising attack by your opponent. While it’s effective, it’ll also result in a yellow card, and overusing it could result in a red card.

Women’s Football in Career Mode

Women’s teams are now fully playable in Career Mode, including five major leagues and the Women’s Champions League. You can also manage both men’s and women’s clubs in a single save.

Career Icons

For the first time, Icons are available in Career Mode! Including legends like Pirlo, Van Nistelrooy, and Kelly Smith. Pre-orders unlock additional Icons like Zidane, Beckham, and Ronaldo (Brazilian). More Icons are coming soon throughout the season.

New Snapshots Feature in Career Mode

In EA FC 25 Career Mode, you can now start your season from any week, reflecting real-life stats like points, injuries, and transfers. The new Start Points and Snapshots features allow you to jump into key moments, like taking over a team after a major event, such as a managerial change or points deduction. These features bring a fresh experience to Career Mode, aligning more closely with real-world football events.

Duplicate Storage

In Ultimate Team, you can now send duplicate untradeable players to a storage area for Squad Building Challenges– up to 100!

New Social Space in Clubs

Clubs introduces “The Clubhouse”, a new social hub where avatars can interact. As EA Sports puts it: it’s “your home for social interaction and customisations in Clubs”. The Clubhouse is a hub for your team, “showcasing your Club’s identity along with your clubmates who will appear in the locker room when they join the mode.” Your house, your rules.

Best Graphics Yet

Finally, FC 25 offers two graphics modes—Enhanced Visuals with ray tracing and 4K upscaling, and Favor Resolution, which runs native 4K, both at 60fps.
